Fardriver is a premium motor controller manufacturer known for high-precision field-oriented control. The Fardriver controller in the X0 operates at 45A nominal and 180A peak, and delivers zero throttle lag — the motor responds instantly and proportionally to throttle input with no hesitation. Budget controllers on cheaper bikes introduce noticeable delay between throttle input and motor response, which is disorienting at speed. The Fardriver controller is a significant factor in how the X0 feels to ride.

City mode caps the X0 at 20 mph for use on private roads and tracks where a lower speed limit is appropriate. Off-Road mode removes the cap and allows full 40 mph from the 3600W peak motor on private land. The mode switch is straightforward and allows the same bike to serve both controlled practice environments and full-performance off-road use.

The X0 uses a 60V 23Ah battery built from 80 individual 21700-format lithium cells — the same cylindrical cell format used in premium EV battery packs. The 1380Wh total capacity is what produces the 50-mile City mode range. The large cell count also means the current draw per cell is lower, which reduces heat and extends cell life.
